Job Retention

Course Description:

Graduates of the CNC or Welding programs that get a job will be placed into Job Retention. Job Retention offers support and case management for up to 6 months to ensure successful employment.

Dates: 10/1/29/30/26

Hours per week: 1
Total hours: 20

You can enroll if:

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum of 9th grade reading and 5th grade math scores (You will be tested)
  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Social Security Number
  • No sexual offenses on BCI

You will learn:

  • MIG welding
  • Stick Welding
  • Oxyfuel cutting
  • TIG Welding
  •  Safety procedures
  • Welding symbols
  • Print reading

You will earn:

  • American Welding Society D1.3 credential

As a SNAP E&T participant, you will get:

  • Ongoing help from a case manager
  • Test/Certification fess paid for
  • Class materials and books
  • Uniforms
  • Riptiks and/or gas cards if you don’t have transportation to make sure you can get to class
