Course Description:

This 6-week training in Spanish is a shorter version of our traditional culinary training program. Instruction will be in Spanish and cover the competencies needed to attain a ServSafe Food Safety Managers Certificate. The test is available in Spanish.

Two sessions to choose from:

Session 1:
1/22/24 – 2/23/24

Session 2:
4/29/24 – 6/7/24

Hours per week: 27.5
Total hours: 165

Prerequisite:

  • Spanish Reading Proficiency, Desire to work in culinary field

You will learn:

  • To prepare salads, stocks, soups & sauces
  • How to cut meats
  • How to use knives properly
  • About recipes
  • All about kitchen equipment
  • All about ingredients

You will earn:

  • ServSafe Food Managers Certification

As a SNAP E&T participant, you will get:

  • Childcare co-pays while you are enrolled (if you qualify)
  • All of your, books, materials and training certificates paid
  • Riptiks and/or gas cards if you don’t have transportation to make sure you can get to class
