Amos House

Amos House is a nonprofit social services agency that provides hospitality and direct services to the homeless and poor of Rhode Island. We work in collaboration with other agencies and groups to address issues of hunger, homelessness, and poverty. We are particularly committed to reducing recidivism and helping people who battle with addiction.

As such, our mission is to provide daily meals, recovery-based shelter, permanent supportive housing, vocational and literacy training, and jobs to our guests; as well as quality goods and services to the patrons of the business establishments that are staffed by graduates of our programs. We seek to be a strong partner with the state of Rhode Island, and the city of Providence in combating the ills of hunger, homelessness, and poverty.
