You can enroll if:
- You are a currently employed Certified Nursing Assistant in a licensed nursing home
- Have a Letter of Recommendation from a Registered Nurse at current employer (letter must include that the student will be tested on the Three Technique Evaluation Checklists)
- At least 18 years of age
- Legal resident of RI. Must provide proof.
- High School diploma or GED
You will learn:
- Identify the classifications of medications and common effects on the body
- Have the ability to administer medications with the legal scope of allowable practice under supervision of a registered nurse
- Be able to follow written directions of a health care professional and accurately complete a medication record
You will earn:
- Medication Aide/Technician certification
